One thing I will be paying more attention to as I get older is nutrition.
To be honest, I didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about it when I was younger. I ate what I liked and never really thought much about how food might affect me years down the road.
Now that I’m in my 60s, I find myself asking more questions. Am I getting enough protein? Am I eating enough fruits and vegetables? Am I drinking enough water? What foods actually help support healthy aging?
The more I look into it, the more I realize there is a lot to learn.
Sometimes it can be frustrating because there is so much information out there. One article says one thing and another says something completely different. It can be hard to know what advice is worth following.
That’s one of the reasons I wanted to include nutrition as part of this blog.
I don’t claim to be an expert. I’m simply sharing what I’m learning as I go. My hope is that by sharing my journey, I might help someone else who is trying to figure some of these things out too.
My goal isn’t to eat perfectly. It’s to make better choices more often and continue learning along the way. I know I’m not going to get everything right, but I believe small improvements can make a difference over time.
As I continue this journey, I’ll be sharing what I’m learning about nutrition, healthy eating, and some of the changes I’m trying to make in my own life. Some things may work well, and some may not, but that’s all part of the process.
One thing I do know is that our bodies change as we get older, and what worked for us years ago may not be what we need today. That’s why I’m taking the time to learn more and make healthier choices where I can.
I’m looking forward to sharing what I discover along the way, and I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
